The Great Wall
JinShanLing + GuBeiKou
Day 2. Transportation dropped us off at JinShanLing (Golden Mountain Peak). We headed back to SiMaTai.
We went from lower left car park, followed the blue line all the way to the right, then all the way to the left.
It's gonna be a half day trek.
Entering JinShanLing Great Wall.
This section is mostly repaired.
Relatively unrepaired small section.
It's not easy trekking. But gosh, someone built it!
This was built with the price of numerous lifes. They went to work, and they died on the job.
Thus when you trek up the wall, you should be respectful.
Near vertical wall.
The world under my feet!
Yes, that is WangJingLou at the far left. We were almost there ... well, remotely almost.
This section was built in the Ming Dynasty. The inscription-bearing bricks is the proof.
Good news from guide, we were not going all the way up to WangJingLou. Would only go as far as where the road intersects with the Great Wall.
